Let's talk bras shall we? I've partnered with Upbra for today's review of their product line.
I always seem to have the hardest time bra shopping and I generally dread it. I'm so particular about fit and just want to be comfortable at the end of the day. Upbra sent me two bras to review: The T-Shirt Bra and the Stay-Up Strapless Bra.
The bras I generally purchase go through three "tests" that they must pass for me to like them. I've learned that if they don't pass, the likelihood of me actually wearing that bra is slim to none. Below you will find details on these tests and if the Upbra passed.
Upbra Review: The T-Shirt Test
Have you ever worn a new bra, threw on a t-shirt, and ran out the door before stopping to look in the mirror? Only to realize when you get home that those awful cups lines were showing all day? That drives me crazy. It totally cheapens your look and is honestly distracting.
The cup lines should be seamless against your skin and not show through your t-shirts. The Upbra passed this test for me.
Upbra Review: The Tank Top Test
With the strapless bra, I put it through my tank top test to make sure it would stay up all day. I could also do this with a dress, but generally strapless dresses are a tighter fit and tank tops tend to be flowy making it more difficult for the bra to stay in place.
If you're going to wear a tank top, your bra straps should not be showing. This is again something that totally changes the look and feel of what you're wearing. I'm not kidding when I say I once interviewed someone for a job who was wearing a tank top and her bra straps were hanging out all over the place. It was highly unprofessional.
Now I know not everyone can wear a strapless bra, or maybe it just takes some searching to find the right one. Perhaps a bralette or tops with thicker straps are best. Regardless, the Upbra passed the tank top test.
Upbra Review: The 12 Hour Wear Test
I work all day, have multiple meetings per week, and most of the time run around like a chicken with my head cut off so I need to be comfortable on all levels.
I wore both bras for 12 hours each on two different busy days. The t-shirt bra was comfortable and didn't leave me feeling like I just wanted to get home and take it off. With strapless bras I generally find that they feel like they are falling down throughout the day. I felt that less with the strapless Upbra than I have with others in the past.
Bottom line: Both bras were a win for me! It's not a bra I would wear every single day because sometimes a good old "mom bra," as my husband would call it, is what I want. But, I will definitely wear them weekly, especially this summer for events and on vacation.
What's important to note about the Upbra products?
They are designed to give you maximum lift and man they do. I've never had a bra quite like this. It does fit snug because it has to in order to accomplish its goal, but it's not uncomfortable. I was nervous when I opened the package and felt the bras, but when I tried them on, I really liked the fit.
Upbra also has a swimwear line that I would check out as we head into summer! You can use the code WEBERUPBRA10D at checkout to save $10 off your purchase.
Cheers to the tatas,
