There’s something about making a dream come to life that is so fulfilling. On this day four years ago, I posted a photo in acid washed jeans, a white top, and a fedora with a caption that talked about dreaming of going to NYFW instead of class (it was my senior year at Butler). This past week, that dream became reality.

Our Stay at the Fabulous Andaz Wall Street

This will be one of a few posts about our week, what we did, what I wore, and what I learned. Tonight, I want to share our AMAZING experience with Andaz Wall Street. I was so excited to partner with this hotel group again after our stay in Napa earlier this summer.

We arrived later on Wednesday afternoon, ready to unpack and unwind after traveling to the city. Andaz Wall Street has a sophisticated lobby with sitting areas that are especially used during their complimentary evening cocktail hours, the best place to grab a drink before dinner.

I traveled with my good friends Ericka, Kat, and Erica so the four of us and our 18 bags (maybe not that many, but we had quite a few), headed up to the 17th floor. When we opened the door, we were so excited to see how much space we had in The Buttonwood Suite, complete with two sitting areas, massive master bed and bath, a half bath, a dining/conference area, and the best view of the city. Kat and Erica were in a conjoining room with their own beds and bathroom as well.

The first thing we did was unpack and get ready to head to dinner. We had plenty of closet space to hang all of our outfits for the week ahead. After quickly getting ready for dinner we headed to dinner on that first night at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park. There are two subway stations near Andaz Wall Street that made getting around the city so easy. In a separate post, I’ll be sharing some helpful tips to navigating the subways, but just know that when your hotel is near multiple lines, it makes getting around a breeze.

The next few days can best be described as controlled chaos. We had a schedule, but wanted to change outfits before events and dinner so we were constantly running to and from Andaz Wall Street. Thankfully, there was a place attached to the hotel to grab coffee, fruit, and bagels before our day started. At the end of the day, it was so nice to come back to a clean and organized room thanks to the hotel service staff. They left plenty of waters in our fridge and made sure our bed was ready for us to fall into after a late night.

Andaz Wall Street was awesome. It would be especially convenient for travelers who want to visit the 9/11 museum, Battery Park, or the Statue of Liberty. It is also an ideal location for a more relaxed evening and to escape the hustle of Midtown. If you’re heading to NYC anytime soon, you should definitely check out this property as your home away from home.

Cheers to the city that never sleeps (except at Andaz Wall Street because the beds rock),

Steph

*This post was a collaboration with Andaz Wall Street in which I was given a combination of comp’d nights and a media rate in exchange for content. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and Andaz is a place I recommend regardless.
