What a weekend we had! On Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend the Rev Indy Event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and today I'm recapping exactly what the event was all about.

When Danielle from IU Health first reached out, I was pumped. The month of May in Indy is like no other and will always hold a special place in my heart. Memorial Day Weekend has always meant time spent at the track for the Indy 500 with friends and family. Then in 2014, I had the honor to be a 500 Festival Princess and had a behind the scenes look at everything Indianapolis does leading up to the race.

Rev Indy is an event that raises funds for IU Health statewide critical care programs. These funds provide care for the drivers, patrons at the med center at the track, and patients across Indiana in need of critical care. Last year's funds helped purchase an amazing LifeLine vehicle that we were able to tour. This high tech ambulance allows patients to be transported from hospitals 3 hours away and has the ability to hold family members. The back has supplies that can turn the vehicle into an operating room if necessary. The medical technology we have access to is simply amazing.

REV INDY EVENT RECAP

Chefs from local Indianapolis restaurants partnered with a driver to feature some of their best dishes. We sampled food from probably 10 different restaurants and we were stuffed. It was a great way to try food from restaurants we want to visit here in Indy. Collin's favorite was probably Conner's Kitchen and Bar or Cobblestone while my favorite was Provision. I always have a little bit of a hard time at these events with food because of my strange allergies and normal "simple" diet, but all of the chefs were able to tell us if something had gluten and even prepared separate plates if they could. Mimi Blue Meatballs is also on our list of places to check out.

Along with delicious plates, drinks flowed all night including cold pressed cocktails from Simplicity Juices which were amazing. We enjoyed listening to live music and mingling with new friends. A few of the drivers were also present and greeted guests with smiles. I can only imaging how they are feeling with this world-renouned race coming up so soon.

Polina from PATTERN was also there capturing all of the wonderful fashion that was present at Rev. I've included a link to the gallery so you can check it out too because it's so great! Whoever said Indy wasn't trendy hasn't been here yet.

Finally, a special thank you to the Trendy Glam Squad. My hair was done by Amilee at G Michael Salon. Lori at Merle Norman Indy did a fabulous job on my face per usual. My dress was from Lesley Jane Boutique and it's the most comfortable cocktail dress I own.

If you have the opportunity to attend Rev Indy next year, I highly recommend it. What a great way to celebrate May in Indy and raise funds for such an important cause.

Cheers to making a difference and the Indy 500,

Steph
