Welcome to Music City! A place where the desire for local business holds strong, where you can walk into any bar on Broadway playing live music, and where you can have a foot-tapping good time.
I hadn't been to Nashville since I was 19 so it had been a few years. It's a short drive from Indy which makes it a great destination for a long weekend. When Stay Alfred reached out about a collaboration at their new property, 505 Nashville, I was all in.
Before we left I did some research on the company, but was mostly excited for the element of surprise in a new adventure. Before leaving, I selected a genre for an activity that we would be able to enjoy during our stay. Music won ten fold.
After a snowy drive to Nashville Delanie of Mel and Del and I arrived at 505 Church Street. We unpacked our entirely too full car and checked in 505 Nashville with a happy soul at the front desk. The view in our 14th floor apartment immediately woke us up from the dreary drive.
I use the word apartment because the unique aspect of Stay Alfred properties is that they marry the concept of a luxury hotel with the benefits of an Airbnb. Each room has a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space for your stay. Our 505 Nashville room had two bedrooms, two full baths, a pullout couch, kitchen table, balcony, full living room, and a view that you wouldn't believe. It would have easily slept six people.
The following day we woke up to a beautiful snow storm. In Nashville when it snows, the city more or less shuts down. It didn't stop us from venturing to a local record store and having lunch at Puckett's just before they closed early for the day. Another perk to 505 Nashville is its central location to great food, the Predators stadium, and Broadway.
Tuesday evening we had been invited to a cocktail hour where we were able to meet some of the key players from Stay Alfred as well as several other influencers. The event included a tour of the hotel and some background information. We learned that Stay Alfred is only six years old and is experiencing tremendous growth with properties across the U.S. and plans to expand to Europe.
Our music plans had been altered slightly due to weather, but it actually worked out wonderfully. We dined at Deacon's New South, compliments of Stay Alfred. A bottle of a local Pinot Noir was shared amongst us and two other Ohio influencers. The conversation flowed from topics of influencer marketing to our personal goals and dreams to how great our meal was. If you visit, I highly recommend Deacon's for nice, but affordable meal. My medium-well filet was comparable to that of Harry and Izzy's here in Indy in both taste and price.
From there, Delanie and I headed to Robert's Western World for a quick drink to meet up with some friends from college. Mostly, we just wanted to enjoy the Nashville live music scene and the honky tonk bands that night were great.
The next day we were headed home, but not before a training session with Derrick Billups, Nashville's #1 personal trainer, in the 505 Nashville's state-of-the-art workout facility. To give you an indication of the intensity of the workout, I'm still sore two days later. We enjoyed breakfast after the workout at the Frothy Monkey, also around the corner from 505 Nashville.
To sum it up, the Stay Alfred 505 Nashville is an easy choice for travelers of all kinds. Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, you'll have access to the best amenities and Nashville's hottest sights through your stay at 505 Nashville. Traveling elsewhere? Check to see if Stay Alfred has a property in your destination. I promise the full kitchen is so worth it.
