Summer Concert Series Review
Raise your hand if you're excited that it is finally summertime! I say "finally" as if this year isn't flying by, but one of my favorite parts about summer is that it means concert season.
There's something about live music that just puts me in a good mood and makes me want to dance. This summer I am partnering with a local mall that is hosting a concert every Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm now through July 20th.
This first concert was last Thursday at the Greenwood Park Mall and let me tell you it was SO much fun. I am particular when it comes to music and entertainment probably due to my time in the dance world. Most of the bands playing this summer are all local and this first concert featured Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press. You guys, they played absolutely everything. From "Electric Love" to several Smash Mouth hits and even some I recognized from "Soda Fountain Favorites" that my parents use to play in the car.
Speaking of my parents, they actually came to this concert with me to be my photographers. Side note, they are the most supportive parents and literally never miss anything we do in our lives. At the end of the concert my dad said, "I will be here every Thursday night because this is so awesome."
So in case you're interested and in the Indianapolis area, you should definitely make this summer concert series part of your Thursday night plan. Oh did I mention, Mallow Run Winery will be there? It's my favorite local winery and their Rhubarb is the best.
Here's the line up for the summer:
June 8: Blue River Band
June 15: Simply Elton
June 22: Mike and Joe
June 29: Henry Lee
July 6: Corey Cox
July 13: The Stranger (Tribute to Billy Joel)
July 20: The Blindside
Hope to see you there this summer!
