Of all the trends we have tried this year, the distressed look might be my favorite. My husband doesn't understand why I pay for clothes with holes in them (kind of a good point), but I love this edge trend.

The trend started with jeans and kind of spiraled from there. Now we are seeing it in sweaters, basic tees, jackets, and everything in between. If you're ready to integrate this trend into your wardrobe here are a few tips to successful complete your distressed look.

Start with jeans. A good pair of distressed jeans should definitely be in your closet. Express is normally my go to for these, but Nordstrom has a few perfect pairs (which I've linked below). Pair your distressed jeans with an oversized sweater, basic tee, or collared top depending on what level of distressed you are going for.

The next thing to try would be sweaters. I am so obsessed with this distressed sweater from Express. I don't feel like it's totally over done and the color is something other than black which seems to fill my wardrobe right now.

Keep it casual with your favorite booties or Adidas Superstars. Add your favorite bag and simple accessories and you're set.

Who are you rooting for tonight? My husband and I don't really get that into sports so we are having a movie night instead. Have a great week all!

xo,

Steph

PS- Here are some of my favorite distressed pieces from Nordstrom and Express.
