This was a summer for fashion gurus all over the world. While I am beyond excited about fall fashion, I think it's always fun to recap the previous season and think about what we may see next year.

This summer featuredΒ tons of unique trends that are sure to transition into fall and winter, and maybe even come back next year. I wanted to highlight three of my favorite trends tied into this look.

  1. Chunky Heels. That chunky heel look was so popular this summer and I love these. They go with just about everything and really complete a classy look. Perfect for a wedding or cocktail party as we head into fall also.
  2. Cape Jackets. This might be one of my favorite trends and we are seeing it in formal dresses this year too. Cape jackets are the perfect layering piece for any outfit. Jackets like these are a wardrobe necessity for every season.
  3. Shift Dresses. Well we all know these aren't going anywhere. I love a good shift dress for any occasion and they are truly a wardrobe staple. So easy to dress up or down, transition from day to night, and wear year-round with different layering pieces. This is a convertible dress so it also doubles as a little black dress for me.

You've probably seen all three of these trends as we transition into fall which is great because it makes your wardrobe versatile and wearable.

My predictions for next year? I don't think any of these trends will go anywhere for a while. We've already seen chunky heels for fall and winter shoes, plus a classy shift dress is perfect for any season.

For those of you still living in the heat, try some of these trends. Meanwhile, I'll be slipping into sweater and legging season.

xo,

Steph
