Hey there! I'm Steph Weber, a brand consultant, influencer, and podcaster with big dreams.
I've grown up in Indianapolis, left a couple of times to study in Europe and intern in New York City, but there's something about this place that has my heart.
People ask how I got started with my journey and the truth is, I’ve worked in fashion since I was 17 because I was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry, it needed gas, and I don’t take no for an answer when I REALLY want something and believe in it. I started working as a sales associate in a local boutique and that role turned into their brand manager when I graduated in 2015. When I learned about blogging, I thought “why am I not doing this?,” so Trendy in Indy was born. Since then, this little fashion blog has grown into a business that teaches entrepreneurs how to build real relationships with a community by creating authentic brand stories that people can actually relate to.
Small businesses will always be my passion. My dad ran a small business which unfortunately failed in 2010 after a series of unfortunate events. I was a senior in high school and my parents had $0 to send me to college. Long story short, I more or less said "I’m going to my dream school and I'll figure it out." In 2015, I graduated from Butler University, Cum Laude. Don't get me wrong, those four years were hard. I worked three jobs, maintained full-time student status, had a social life including a long-distance boyfriend-now-husband, and I’ll be paying the equivalent of a mortgage a month in loans until I’m 32, but like I said, I don’t take no for an answer when I believe in the outcome.
Wanna know what sets my heart on fire? Building a community of real humans who are unapologetically themselves, crushing their goals, and inspiring me to do my job better. Because let’s be real, sometimes being an entrepreneur is super flipping lonely and filled with “what did I just do” moments. We all need someone in our corner cheering us on.
